Dear Parents,
We would like to thank all of you for your responses to the survey that was sent out towards the end of the school year. We have taken into account each and every one of your responses and comments. Throughout our Faith Formation program we want to be able to best assist you and your family throughout your journey of faith. The Church teaches that parents are the primary catechists of their children; St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish is here to help you in this process.
After looking at the responses to the survey, we have decided on the following times. All grade levels will be on Wednesday evening.
Elementary School (grades 1-5): 5:45-6:45 PM
Middle/High School (grades 6-11): 7:00-8:15 PM
(There will be additional times for sacrament preparation.)
You will notice that the elementary grades will have class that is an hour long, while the middle and high school students will continue meeting for 75 minutes. This is because of feedback from parents and catechists that our youngest disciples will benefit more from a shorter class.
We also will have 15 minutes in between sessions. This will help our catechists clean up after one class, and the next catechist set up before middle and high school students arrive.
The mission of the parish is to Grow as Disciples, and Grow Disciples. We would like to have more of an emphasis on the family growing as disciples together this coming year. One way we will be doing this, is by having several family nights for all family members to come and participate in an evening of faith, family, and fun!
Please feel free to contact us at the parish if you have any questions.
God Bless,
Kate Ruth & Carrie Lundy
